ACCEPTED FORMATS: Adverts to be supplied via ISDN (01481), CD Rom or email: graphics@asa.gg (ADSL Connection)
RESOLUTION: All colour pictures to be supplied at 300dpi.
IMAGES: Pictures should be supplied in CMYK.eps format (not RGB). CMYK images should be sup- plied uncompressed (i.e. with no JPEG compression in the Save dialogue box).
FONTS: PC format fonts cannot be accepted. All supplied Type 1 fonts must include both the Screen and Printer versions of the fonts.
FILM: We regret that we cannot accept any film (separated or otherwise) to use as artwork.
FILE FORMATS: High resolution (press quality) PDF files as first preference. InDesign, Quark, Illustrator, Freehand & Photoshop .eps are acceptable, however fonts must be turned to paths, or embedded within the .eps. Alternatively, supply the files in an editable format with the fonts and pictures/illustrations included. All specified colours (including those in Logo and Graphic files) must be converted to CMYK from their original Pantone (or similar) reference. Stufflt Deluxe may be used to bundle files and folders if you wish, .sea (self extracting archive) files are also accepted.
ERRORS & AMENDMENTS: Additional charges will be imposed for amending incorrectly supplied artwork. You will be informed as soon as possible if there are any problems encountered with your supplied artwork.
CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE OF ADVERTISEMENTS: ASA only accepts advertisements for publication subject to the following conditions:
1) The publisher does not accept liability for any loss, or damage caused by:
a) An error, inaccuracy or omission in the printing of an advertisement.
b) Any failure to publish on the date or dates specified by the advertiser.
c) The publication of any advertisement on any dates (or dates) other than the date (or dates) specified by the advertiser, whether the actual date of publication be earlier or later than the date (or dates) specified; and/or in a specific issue.
2) All advertisements are subject to the contents being approved by the management. The management reserves the right to refuse any advertisement, even though accepted and pre-paid, or to make any alterations deemed necessary.
3) Proofs of advertisements will be submitted on request. Once the proof has been agreed and signed by the advertiser (or his agent or representative) no father alterations can be entertained, except by agreement with publisher at the advertiser’s expense.
4) Notice of cancellation of advertisements must be received at least 14 working days prior to publication. Non-compliance with the above cancellation time will incur the full cost of the space booked.
5) It is the responsibility of the advertiser to check the correctness of each insertion of an advertisement. No responsibility can be assumed for the repetition of an error in the advertisement ordered for more than one insertion unless notification is received by the publisher immediately an error occurs.
6) All advertisements are accepted and published on the understanding that the advertiser is authorised to publish the contents of the advertisement. The advertiser will indemnify the publisher against all actions, claims, demands, costs and expenses which might be taken out or made against the publisher or may be incurred or become payable by the publisher in respect of or arising out of each advertisement.
7) Whilst every care is taken, the publisher is not responsible for loss or damage of artwork or photographs or any other advertisement material.
8) Payment shall normally be made on presentation of an invoice. Credit accounts approved by the company shall be paid within 14 days of the statement date. Advertisers shall pay a surcharge at the rate of 2.5% on any account or any balance of account in respect of advertisements published the company remaining unpaid the day after the respective due date (s) and at each monthly anniversary thereafter. This surcharge shall also apply to unpaid accounts for production or any other charges.
