The isle of Guernsey at 25 square miles is the second largest of the Channel Islands; Guernsey forms part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey which incorporates Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Brecqhou, Burhou, and Lihou. In Norman times the Channel Islands became part of the English realm with Guernsey and its associated islands remaining loyal to the crown.

Situated 30 miles off the coast of Normandy and 75 miles from the south coast of the UK Guernsey lies in the Gulf of St Malo and enjoys fine summers and mild winters.
Although affiliated to the UK it still remains independent, producing its own stamps and currency, it is self ruling and has its own government 'the states of Guernsey'.

Guernsey is not a member of the European Union, however because of Guernsey's offshore status financial services, such as banking, fund management and insurance account for over half of the islands total income.
With taxes lower than that of the UK and salary levels generally higher it is becoming increasingly popular with individuals pursuing careers within this sector.

Guernsey is a truly beautiful and picturesque place to live, with 60,000 people enjoying a relaxed and easy going quality of life. as well as first class restaurants, busy bars and nightlife the island also offers exceptional natural countryside and many beaches, this coupled with many major recent multi million pound facilities including sports centres, commerce buildings and transport links including a new airport makes living on Guernsey an enviable experience.
